The 'Engagement' and 'Marriage' under the new amendment of  of the Civil and Commercial Code, follow the civil and commercial code amendment act (no.24) B.E. 2567

> The current legal terms "man" and "women" in engagement and marriage will be replaced with "fiancé and fiancée" or "both individuals', and the terms "husband and wife " or "spouses" will be unified as "spouses".

>> The legal age for engagement or marriage is after completed 18 years instead of 17 years.

>>> The marriage between Thai and foreigner, even same sex, is allowed under the new amendment. (Previously it's limited between only man and women)
